Here is some more detailed information about our weekly life group meetings including our:

Life Group Meeting Format

Welcome - 15 minutes

Spend about 15 minutes in casual conversation and/or an icebreaker activity that helps people relax and join in. Remember to start the welcome part of the meeting on time - you don't have to wait for everyone to arrive. Please also end the welcome part of the meeting on time - you can move on to Worship even if everyone hasn't arrived yet!

Worship - 20 minutes

Spend about 20 minutes giving God well deserved praise.

Word - 40 minutes

Select some of the discussion questions from the list below and share. Spend about 40 minutes - be sure to leave enough time for the "Witnessing" section!

Witnessing - 15 minutes

Select something from the Witnessing Activities section below. Spend about 15 minutes - be sure to end on time!

Please note that your leaders may switch around the order of the "4 W's" every now and then.

Life Group Discussion Questions / Topics (based on the indicated scriptures)

Here are the discussion questions for the week of: 5/4/2008 - 5/10/2008

Scripture References: Mat 7:21-27

  1. Does anyone do the Father's will perfectly? Is that what Jesus had in mind in Mat 7:21? Is Jesus your Lord? What factors other than perfection demonstrate your commitment to doing the Father's will?

  2. Have you ever seen anyone legitimately prophesy, do miracles, or drive out demons? If so, what have you assumed about their spiritual lives?

  3. What is your plan for putting Jesus' words into practice in your life?

  4. What role do teams play in your efforts to put Jesus' words into practice? Are they essential or optional? Explain.

  5. Do you believe that God wants you to win and make disciples? If so, how long have you believed this and what is your plan for doing it?

  6. In what ways have you made your team more effective?

  7. Is your team "playing to win" or just practicing and "doing drills"?

  8. God has a big Kingdom. Does your team have goals that match? Are you going for the "hall of fame"?
